It seems our servicemen and women must have watched the movie TOP GUN too much. Watching Tom Cruise blast around on a crotch rocket must have inspired some of them as much as his Tomcat flying. So much so that the Army and Navy Safety Centers along with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation developed the “Military Sportbike Rider Course”. Not because of the increase of motorcycle riders among enlistees but the increase of injuries suffered by service people riding Sportbikes.

IronWorks magazine has just learned that its Staff Writer Mike Seate has been honored with an award from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Mike is being recognized for his continued support of motorcyclists safety in his columns. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation will be awarding Mike a plaque for this honor.
