Editor’s Choice Bike Show Sturgis 2013, Answering The Question “How Do I Get My Bike In A Magazine!”
Have you ever wondered how to get your bike featured in one of the national motorcycle magazines? Want to have your hard work displayed on the shiny pages right next to the best in the business? Well this year during the First Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Twisted Tea Editor’s Choice Bike Show, The Broken Spoke and a coalition of National Motorcycle Magazines has the answer.
After such a huge success in both Vegas last year and this year in Daytona the editors of the national motorcycle publications have decided to set up camp for another round of The Editor’s Choice Bike Show during the 73rd Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Sturgis attendees, scooter tramps and old heads can make their way to the Broken Spoke Campground on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at high noon where dozen or more of the national motorcycle publications will be throwing a one day show. Each magazine editor will select a bike from the show to award as their “Editor’s Choice” to receive a trophy for the win and the most exciting prize, a full feature in their publication. That’s right man, go get the pan or the bagger shined up, it’s on!
In addition to the editors choice awards there will be 10 classes awarded for the best Sportster, big twin, bobber, chopper, pan, shovel, bagger, café, import and antique motorcycles of the day. Twisted Tea is going all out to make sure everyone gets a chance to get their bike in this show and because of that there is NO ENTRY FEE!!! That’s right, this round is on Twisted Tea and the Broken Spoke Campground. There will be tons of prizes and give-a-ways all day long from Twisted Tea, the Broken Spoke Campground, as well as all the magazines and other companies from the motorcycle industry.
But wait, there’s more. Each magazine will have representatives on site. Spend the day at the Broken Spoke Campground and meet your heroes from the pages of the magazines or take this opportunity to argue with something they’ve said in the past, either way, they’ll be right there. Each magazine will have a booth at the Broken Spoke that day so all you have to do is show up. You’ll have the chance to meet staff members and editors from: American Bagger, Cycle Source, The Horse, Iron Works, Hot Bike, Hot Bike Bagger, Street Chopper, American Iron, American Iron Bagger, Road Bike and BikerNet.com. Plus Rob Keller will be representing the Motorcycle Riders Foundation as well, so bring along your MC Rights issues for a good chance to talk to those who know the answers.
Registration begins at high noon, what more fitting a time for the Broken Spoke than shoot out hours right? Awards will be announced by 6 PM and from there the party will be on at the Broken Spoke Campground. It’s the first time ever the big guns from the custom bike magazine world are setting their sights on a group effort of this magnitude in Sturgis and
you won’t want to miss this show.
