As reported here on Wednesday, June 19th Dar Holdsworth is rebuilding the bike of Navy Veteran Gerald Mobley that was virtually destroyed by that massive tornado last month in Oklahoma. Many companies have come forward with parts and services to help get the bike finished in time so that the bike can be completed in time for the July 6th Toby Keith benefit concert. Rumor has it that the bike will be presented to the owner during that concert. Some of the companies who are helping out are S&S Cycle, Rivera Primo, Hix Design, and Biker’s Choice has just opted in with tons of all the “little” parts that were needed. Kudos to all of them and the ones not mention too.
The July 6th concert to raise funds for the continuing Oklahoma storm recovery effort stars Moore, Oklahoma native Toby Keith and his friends Sammy Hagar, Mel Tillis, John Anderson, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Trisha Yearwood and Ronnie Dunn. The concert will be held at the 80,000 seat University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord Family Stadium at Owen Field, 180 W. Brooks St., Norman, Oklahoma. The concert starts at 3 PM July 6th with the gates opening at 1:30 PM.
Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at tulsaworld.com/tixmaster or by phone at 800-745-3000. All seats are $25, with an eight-ticket limit. Ford Trucks, Verizon, Wal-Mart and Academy of Country Music Lifting Lives are sponsoring and underwriting the concert which will allow 100% of the ticket proceeds to benefit the United Way of Central Oklahoma May Tornadoes Relief Fund in aiding recovery efforts.
