As many of you know that big event for Harley-Davidson coming up in Milwaukee isn’t the only celebration for a Wisconsin motorcycle industry this year. S&S Cycle celebrated its 55th Anniversary with a big party in Viola and La Crosse. The celebration was a huge success and S&S wanted to thank those who were involved and attended so here’s part of their statement with a few images from their 55th Anniversary Celebration.
“S&S Cycle wishes to thank everyone who helped make our 55th Anniversary Celebration June 21st & 22nd a success. The list of people and organizations contributing to this event is long, and we appreciate all the help. Special mention has to go to the City of La Crosse, the La Crosse Oktoberfest Committee, Midwest Family Broadcasting, and the students who built the show bikes that were the centerpiece of the celebration.
We would also like to thank Jay Allen, our master of ceremonies, and our headline entertainers: Foghat, The Outlaws, The Eric Tessmer Band, and all the exceptional regional acts who entertained us during the two day event. Thanks to all the S&S employees and volunteers whose dedication and hard work literally made this event happen. A special thanks also goes to the racers and motorcycle industry figures who participated in the Racer’s Roundtable in Viola. Most of all, we want to thank the people who came out to celebrate with us. You’ve all helped to make this a memorable event.
In addition to a great party, the S&S 55th Anniversary Celebration benefited The Greater La Crosse Area Boys And Girls Club, and the Kickapoo High School Athletic Association in the form of financial contributions and greater public awareness. The Boys and Girls Club received a check from S&S for $1000 and the Kickapoo High School Athletic Association received the proceeds from the pancake breakfast they put on at the S&S plant in Viola.
We’d also like to thank the weatherman for providing a perfect weekend – Just kidding!”
