Missy Covill grew up on a farm in Michigan with a love for horses, motorcycles, music, the outdoors and facing a challenge. Being a farm girl she also developed a strong work ethic and a down to earth approach to life. All these traits have served her well over the years as she’s had to manage being a single mom, personal losses, a bout with cancer and a budding musical career. That’s a burden that would sap anyone’s strength. But Missy had a strong will to persevere and flourish.
To take her mind off of things she decided to take a motorcycle ride. It was just her, a guitar and a tent. That ride ended after a journey of 15,000 Miles in 10 weeks. The route took her from Michigan to Florida to Sturgis. Along the way she rode by day and wrote at night. Songs from the heart about life, love and loss. Now she fronts the Rock/Blues/Southern Rock band Iron Cowgirl Missy. They have become very popular playing at various motorcycle events across the country and will be at the Buffalo Chip during the Sturgis Rally. Not only that, they play many charity dates for cancer research. You can learn more and listen to her music from the album “Heart Of Steel” at www.ironcowgirlmissy.com .
