Enerpulse, Inc., makers of the Pulstar Pulse Plug, has released a new video on YouTube featuring Dean Hummer, the man who the infamous Harley-Davidson “Hummer” motorcycle is named after.
The video with Hummer, located at www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_RhliZOp7Q , tells the story of his life as a motorcycle racer and Harley-Davidson dealer. The video details why Hummer now enthusiastically supports the use of Pulstar Pulse Plugs in his motorcycles after many years of only recommending stock-specified spark plugs.
“Since I put the Pulstar plugs in my Harley,” says Hummer in the video, “it idles better, starts a lot better and from zero and up it pulls out a lot better.”
He concludes the video by saying, “I’m Dean Hummer and I approve Pulstar plugs.”
Hummer purchased a Harley-Davidson dealership in Omaha, Neb. and offered the Harley model 125, a small but sturdy two-stroke road machine of 125cc displacement for sale. In the early ‘50s Hummer sold more 125 models than any other dealer in the U.S. and when the company came out with a new 125 model in 1955 they called it the “Hummer.” Only the 1955 to 1959 125cc bikes are properly called Hummers, though many use the Hummer for all Harley-Davidson lightweight motorcycles produced from 1948 to 1966.
Pulstar Pulse Plugs are popular among motorcycle enthusiasts, providing quicker throttle response, more reliable starting and increased horsepower and torque. Independent certified testing shows Pulstar Pulse Plugs provide up to 10 percent better fuel economy.
Enerpulse, Inc. has developed and commercialized the first real breakthrough in spark plug technology in over 120 years. Pulstar Pulse Plugs look like conventional spark plugs, but a unique capacitor-based circuit inside captures energy normally wasted by spark plugs and generates a spark with five times greater energy or 1,000 times more peak power.
