This old Shovelhead was built the old way, in the owners garage/workshop. That’s because Black Diamond Cycles is a small operation out in the middle of the anthracite coal region of Eastern Pennsylvania. They like to keep their bikes simple with classic lines. You can see some additional pictures below, but if you want to read about how it got the name “Crudebaker” you better hurry up because the Sept/Oct issue that its in will soon be disappearing from the shelves to make way for the November issue of IronWorks.
