The latest edition of the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show took place in Washington DC over the weekend. Custom bike builders from across the country brought their best work to the show. The judges certainly had their hands full trying to decide who would grab the honors and be the Ultimate Builder here’s the results:
First place in FreeStyle went to GIO of Blacksmith Motoring Co. who rolled into DC with El Patron, a 2003 Suzuki Volusia. It features Nitrous, Stroker Kit, Big Bore Pistons, Custom Cams, 4 Degree Rake, Remote Air Ride and Performance Suspension shocks. GIO’s background is in jewelry and it shows from the jewel encrusted key to the chrome etching on the heads, bars and lights.

Gio also took a firstb place in Retro Mod with ‘El Vaquero’ a 1977 Honda GL1000 Goldwing that sports a super charged stroker motor, 4 Degree Rake, Remote Air Ride, Performance Suspension shocks, engraved accessories, custom trucker-flap exhaust and hidden cables.

Mod Harley – Roy Chamberlain of C&C Cycles took 1st place with Black Shadow, a 2002 Harley-Davidson FLHTCUI featuring a S&S 106ci with ported heads, bigger valves, cam and throttle body. Additional upgrades include a 200mm rear tire with stretched bags and fender.

James Antonio of Meticulous Concepts Sportbike Customizing takes first place in the Performance Custom class with his 2003 Kawasaki ZX9R. The reaper-styled bike is bored to 998cc and sports 240mm Rear Tire, Lowered chassis with air ride. Special features include 24k gold plated bolts and custom bodywork. Wheels are modified Harley units from Performance Machine.

3. Davona Marshall, Garwood Custom Cycles – Egyptian Queen, 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa
People’s Choice was a Michael Jackson Tribute bike owned by Janette Coles and built by Eye Candy Designs. Its built on a 2009 Suzuki GSX-R 750 platform. Features 240 single-sided swingarm and air ride suspension.
