On the heels of bikers adjusting to the laws and restrictions in Myrtle Beach, now the ‘Official” Harley Spring Rally is planning on moving its dates. This rally will now run from May 18 through May 28, according to Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson’s website. This means it will still be going on when the Atlantic Beach Bike Fest happens. According to the site, the 72nd annual “Cruisin’ the Coast” rally will include more events, rides, parties, races and vendors.
Adding to the confusion is that the local officials that issue vending permits say the permits for the rallies were issued for these dates: Harley Rally, May 14 – 20; Memorial Day Bikefest, May 24 – 27. Businesses in the area are now touting that there will be 2 separate rallies happening over 3 weekends. Put it this way, if you are going to be there sometime in May you’ll find a rally, somewhere.
