Winter Storage
Well now that Thanksgiving is over many riders in the colder climates will start packing away their bike for the winter. Some of us will keep them ready for those days that look good enough to ride on, that means dry roads. But if you’re planning on storing the bike for the winter here’s a few simple tips to help you out.
- Make sure your bike is clean. Wash and thoroughly dry it and wax the painted parts.
- If you don’t plan on running it put fuel additive in the tank so your gas doesn’t turn to varnish.
- Hook a battery tender or trickle charger to keep the battery from dying.
- If you can get the tires off the floor. A center stand or motorcycle jack will do the trick.
- Cover the bike with a motorcycle cover or something made of a breathable fabric.
If you have any other suggestions please let us know.
