New Harleys To Lead New President’s Parade

The Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department will have 12 new Harley-Davidson Police Edition motorcycles to lead the Presidential Inauguration Parade. The brand new bikes will lead the inaugural procession through the streets of our nations capital in the famous rolling V formation that stretches across the street from sidewalk to sidewalk.

Harley-Davidson of Frederick, Maryland won the bidding for the new machines. The dealership receives the bikes from the factory and adds the required police accessories and additional lettering to the bikes before delivery to the police force. The well equipped bikes cost more than $35,000 a piece. The same dealership recently delivered new bikes to the U.S. Park Service.

  1. The new harleys are really nice. that’s just awesome.

  2. Yes the new Harleys are nice, but who hear doesn’t know that. With times as hard as they are, it suprises me that D.C. is out spending nearly half a million dollars on new bikes. Wait, no it doesn’t.

  3. Hey someone has got to spend some money to get the economy restarted. Maybe they could/should have leased them through Sparta (December 22 post) ?
