Motorcycle Safety Recall

royal enfieldThe NHTSA reports that Royal Enfield is recalling nearly 200 of it’s 2009 motorcycles. Those bikes are equiped with the EFI unit construction engine. The recall is due to a lubrication problem that could cause the third gear to gall on the clutch shaft. This could cause the gear to seize on the shaft which could potentially make the rear wheel lock up. To fix the problem, a new replacement gear and clutch shaft will be installed, free of charge.
