Harley Safety Recall
I was talking to one of the wrenches at the local Harley shop and found out this little tidbit. If you’re the proud owner of a 2008 – 2009 Cross Bones or a 2008 – 2009 Screaming Eagle Softail Springer you might want to check the acorn stud on your brake linkage. That stud on the bikes built between May 22, 2007 and March 26, 2009 may fall out causing the brake and front fender to slip. This could result in causing a dangerous accident.
Harley dealers have been notified and replacement parts kits are being distributed to dealers service facilities. These Safety Recall Replacement kits consist of a new acorn stud and clip. Check with your dealer to schedule the service to your bike.

We plan on posting safety notices as soon as we find out about them so check in regularly.
