EPA Asked To Do More Ethanol Tests
The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) is one of 14 organizations who recently asked the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for more “unbiased and comprehensive” testing before it allows the use of ethanol blends in mid-range fuel. This fuel would be used for both on or off road vehicle engines.
The informal coalition believes that the mid-level ethanol blends would not only be incompatible with current engines but would cause current emission control systems and engine safety features to fail. Plus this new fuel would actually cause increased emissions during the life span of the engine. The diverse group includes, besides the Motorcycle Industry Council, the Sierra Club, the American Lung Association, the Natural Resources Defense Council and other groups.

Can anyone answer me why the Ethanol mix would increase emissions and what type of damage would occur.
Could it be the method of combustion burn?
Could it be the flame point of the Ethanol mixture as opposed to non-ethanol fuel is not as efficient ?
Would a more complete burn inside the combustion chamber solve the problems in this article?
What are recommendations anyone may have to correct these problems?
My questions are for good reason, a few years ago I had been working on a new type of ignition inside the cylinder, now I am hoping it may correct the problem of using alternate fuels.
