Thunder In The Smokies
Maggie Valley Rally
Thousands of motorcycles will be descending on the beautiful town of Maggie Valley, North Carolina September 5th-7th for the 6th Annual “Thunder In The Valley” Motorcycle Rally. Participants will be treated to three days of concerts, bike shows, bike games, vendors and ride tours of the beautiful Smokie Mountains surrounding Maggie Valley.
Gates open for the event at 11 AM Friday and at 9 AM on Saturday and Sunday. A free pancake breakfast will be held at 9 AM Sunday with worship services at 10 AM. The bike games start at 1 PM on Saturday. A three day pass for the event only costs $15, which is pretty cheap for all that happens there. All profits from the sale of beer at the event benefits the Vietnam Veterans of North Carolina. For more info contact www.HandlebarCorral.com

If you go to this event make sure that you plan at least 3 hrs to spend at Dale Walkslers’ Wheels Through Time Museum. It will be packing up for the moveto Arizona before the end of the year. If you are lucky and find Dale in the museum while you are there he will most likely treat you to a running demonstration of one or more of the machines on the floor……….. such as a one of a kind Traub that was found walled up in an old building in Chicago.
