Get your Bike in IronWorks! IW/SuperTrapp Virtual Bike Show

IronWorks magazine and SuperTrapp announce that they will be co-sponsoring a “Virtual” Bike Show. The focus of the show will be bikes based on the XL motor platform that are equipped with either SuperTrapp or Kerker exhaust systems. If you’ve built a custom bike, a cafe racer or a street tracker around an H-D or S&S XL style motor send IronWorks a photo of your ride. There’s a chance your bike could be seen in IronWorks magazine! The top ten entries will be shown in the May/June 2009 issue of IronWorks and the winning bike will be shown in the July 2009 issue.

IT’S FREE !

That’s right it doesn’t cost anything but a little time to enter. All you have to do is send a GOOD picture of your bike. It makes sense that you take the picture showing the SuperTrapp/Kerker exhaust on the bike. Digital photos must be high resolution of at least 300 dpi jpeg or tiff format. Old style real photos will be accepted too. When you send your photo please include some info about the bike. Like which type of SuperTrapp/Kerker exhaust system you used, the motor specs, tranny, frame, forks, tires etc. All entries must be submitted by December 1, 2008. Send your email entries to: dain@ironworksmag.com subject SuperTrapp Virtual Bike Show Entry. Snail mail entries go to Dain Gingerelli, c/o IronWorks magazine/SuperTrapp Virtual Bike Show, PO Box 2268, Montgomery, AL 36102-2268.

Please don’t send them to IWBlogger.com because they probably would wind up lost!

  1. Right there is a great idea. I very much like the idea that the show is open to more than choppers/bobbers. Cafe Racers and Street Trackers ought to be a very pleasant juxtaposition to the usual format.

And I hope that a few words of riding history come with the submission. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that the bike works well as a daily rider commuting 30, 40, 50, or more miles per day in addition to its pure fun time on the weekend?

And I hope that those riders who have taken their bike to a BattleTrax event, or any track event, will post the best time that they managed to achieve with that bike.

Its one laudable thing to build a bike! The other half of the fun is relating a riding story about the bike.

  2. That sounds like a good idea, but are the bikes going to be placed on the internet? I mean, I know that the best will be in the magazine, but what about the others? Like I saw the S&S builders bikes on some website the other day. You guys should post all of the bikes on the internet.
