Brass Balls Bobbers Helps Working Joes
Brass Balls Bobbers has announced that it is giving relief to the working class heroes that built and keep this great country running. You can get into the Bobber/Chopper lifestyle by buying one of their bikes for just under 18 grand, a great price for a custom built bike. But now through December 31, 2008 you can get an even better deal. Brass Balls Bobbers will take $500 off on their five speed bikes and $1000 off on six speed bikes. That’d be a good Christmas present to yourself.
Best of all you can design your bike by going online at www.darwinmotorcycles.com. On that site you “virtually” build your custom bobber. Now if you’re like me and are in-between jobs you can still have a chance to get a Brass Balls Bobber by subscribing to IronWorks. Oops, I forgot I’m not eligible.

So would this be in response to the Saxon Motorcycle price cut? Or are things bad enough to start offering coupons for custom built motorcycles?
I’m not knocking Brass Balls or Dar, but I don’t know many “Working Joes” that can spar 18 grand these days. Sales are down all over the nation. I heard yesterday that over 700 car dealerships are expected to go out of business in 2008. Regardless of the deals offered, business is going to be slow and fewer pwople are going to be buying motorcycles. Most of the nation is just trying to get by paycheck to paycheck, and although gas mileage is better on two wheels than four, I don’t know many who can afford to buy a new ride to save on the mpg.
$18,000 for a quality build like what you will get from Dar is an excellent deal and in no way a coupon offer. However I do understand what you are getting at. The economy has slowed all markets and sales can be expected to be slow regardless the savings.
If no one else is going to say it, I will. Props to Dar for offering the discount. Every little bit helps.
I can totally understand and respect Dar on this one, it is tuff all over! My shop has been offering discounts for awhile, there are few of us that do, but it just shows we are all hurting with this economy. We as well as Brass Balls try to keep things lower priced, but even now we have to do what we can to stay afloat and show those we respect we give a crap!
Thanks to those who recognize we are trying, in this tough economy, to cut some people a break who might be in the market for one of our bikes. And no, this is not in reaction to any competitor’s price break. We are just doing what we can to help people get on our bikes who want to, and keep them rolling out the door. And just for the record, when we offer such a solid bike with top quality components like Hawg Halters controls, Wilwood brakes, Metzler tires, Brass Balls Bobbers/Racing Innovations frame, Tauer Machine Primary, D&D Performance exhaust, etc., etc., on it at $18,000 – let me assure you there is not much room for price cuts. Blessings and respect to all. Get out and Vote. Make a difference.
