Boss’s Bike Brings Big Bucks

At a charity auction in New York City a motorcycle owned by rock icon Bruce Springsteen (The Boss) fetched a hefty price. The 1994 Harley-Davidson Wide Glide sold for $75,000. The auction was part of the “Stand Up For Heroes” event that raises money to help support wounded returning Iraqi War veterans. The Bob Woodruff Family Fund was set up after newsman Bob Woodruff was critically wounded while covering the war.

Regis Philbin hosted the event with Whoopie Goldberg assisting the auctioneer. Springsteen sang three songs and posed for pictures with the winning bidder and the motorcycle. He also auctioned off his leather jacket and the guitar he was playing which went for $50,000.

  1. I would have thought the bike of Bruce Springsteen could have brought in more cash than that, but what do I know. $75,000 is no small amount.

  2. I’m a huge fan of Woopie. It’s ashame you see less and less of her these days, but Regis? Who’s the crack who asked him to host anything??
